I wish I lived in Skyrim!!!

I have started a Nightingale Armor set, along with the help from that blog it's proving to be a success.  If it weren't 10 degrees outside i'd go spray paint my bracers!

2. Hot glue the edges and details
1. I cut the armor out of craft foam..
3. MOD PODGE!
(front and back)
Stay tuned for the finished bracers!
Also while crafting I've been listening to Lindsey Stirling check her out. I'm a tad obsessed... for the moment.

Fall Recipes! Apple sauce:

I WISH I had a food processor...
Tomato Basil Soup

World's Best Cinnamon Rolls!
I forgot to let them rise a second time!  They were still delicious.
Sorry this isn't the most eloquent post.  Now that school is out i'll have to start putting cool stuff up.  IF anyone even reads our blog!

Thanksgiving in St. George

Suffice it to say, we enjoyed spending a few days in the nice weather with family over Thanksgiving. There were people out playing tennis, riding their bikes, and jogging late in the evening. I felt like I had gone back in time to spring weather. I guess that's what it's like in St. George late in the fall.I'm used to the bleak, winter weather in Logan (winter hasn't really come here yet).

It's finally Fall time! We already went to a haunted corn maze. There was hardly anyone there and it was still relatively warm. Good times.

I opened the fridge about a month ago and saw a plethora of fresh jelepinos left over from the summertime harvest. A friend had given us the jalepinos from their garden. I stood there wondering what we were going to do with all those jalepinos. Then it hit me. Jalepino Poppers! What a great idea! Check out the recipe here.

Jalepeno Poppers and Roasted Brussel Sprouts
And who would have thought that brussel sprouts could be delicious? The recipe for roasted brussel sprouts is extremely simple and they taste great! The stems are bitter so make sure you trim them before roasting.

Memorial Day 2012

So for our first married memorial day we hiked to the infamous Jardine Juniper.  It was 5.8 miles one way.  A fairly easy hike... just LONG and very wet/muddy.  Then we had a little BBQ, roasted some marshmallows and made s'mores!

Homestead? Yes, Please!

So I am on a total homestead kick!  It's the #1 thing I would like to have at this moment.  We already have a garden, but it's not enough.  I need more!! It's growing far too slow for me to be truly excited about it.  So for now the only thing that can keep me content is research. EW! I know.  Books are sooooo not my thing.  However, there is a LOT of awesome yummy information out there just waiting to be absorbed into my brain.  Like today's project:

Making Butter!
How had I never done this before?  How did I not know this was also how buttermilk was made?  I am a fool.

Our Apologies!!

We have failed to entertain!  The motherboard on our desktop is fried and once the holidays hit that was pretty much the end of international food week.  That is right "D-E-D dead!" We decided instead on just doing a secret ingredient of the week.  So one of the weeks in January we did Quinoa.

Pictures will be added shortly!

- This was a delicious breakfasty dish which we altered a bit...  We used a honey flavored yogurt and omitted the peaches.  It was truly divine!

A day later we tried this for dinner!
